Michael currently resides in New York, NY and holds the role of Architectural Design Director for Mancini Duffy Architects. Michael has ten years of experience working in the architectural design industry. Currently he acts as the lead project designer and project manager for some of Mancini Duffy's most consequential large-scale master plan development and implementation projects.
He is also the co-founder and director of the Design Lab, Mancini Duffy’s research and development wing. In keeping with the firm's commitment to push the boundaries within the architecture and interior design industry, the Design Lab is a setting where designers and architects experiment with technologies that can solve issues in design and streamline the design process, and integrate them into the firm's practice. Michael formulates goals and directs firm initiatives related to such emerging technologies as 3D printing, virtual reality, augmented reality, generative design, and drones.
Michael has previously worked at some of the elite design firms in the nation such as Tom Wiscombe Architecture and Morphosis Architects. He has also worked with the Lexington Downtown Development Authority in Kentucky coordinating urban infill projects and master plans.
Michael was awarded the American Institute of Architects Henry Adams certificate of merit for graduating second in his class from the University of Pennsylvania where he received his Masters in Architecture and a Certificate in Time-Based and Interactive Media. He is originally from Kentucky where he attended the University of Kentucky receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture and a Minor in Economics.
